Haa - Arrive at Paro International airport. - Haa

Arrive at Paro International airport. Upon arrival your guide and driver will receive you at the arrival gate and together we leave for Haa over Chelela Pass.

The district of Haa is the western frontier of Bhutan. The valley is located an altitude of about 2800 meters above sea level. Depending on the time of your arrival in Haa, you will either be able to do some sightseeing or walk around Town. Dinner, Overnight at Ugyen Homestay OR Similar

Haa - Hike the Trans Bhutan Trail - Thimphu

After Breakfast, We will hike the Trans Bhutan Trail from Haa to Paro Today. It will be a full day hike.

Katsho Haa to Tsendonna Paro

Distance: Approximately 16.5 km

Start Elevation: Approximately 2850 meters

End Elevation: Approximately 2280 meters

Pass: Kaleyla (approximately 3650 meters)

Drive to Thimphu, about an hour’s drive. Dinner, Overnight at The Pema OR Similar

Thimphu - Sightseeing around Thimphu valley - Thimphu

After Breakfast, Sightseeing around Thimphu valley in the morning. We will visit the Memorial Chorten, Royal Textile Academy and the Traditional Paper Making factory in the morning. In the afternoon visit the Takin (National Animal) preserve and hike the Kuensel Phodrang Nature Trail, a 5 km easy walking trail, through forests of pine and oak trees. A perfect setting to get an orientation of the valley. Visit the Big Buddha at the end of the hike. Dinner., Overnight at The Pema OR Similar

Thimphu - Drive back to Paro in time for lunch - Paro

After Breakfast, drive back to Paro in time for lunch. Paro, much like Thimphu, is located at a similar elevation and growing rapidly in size and fast changing into a small city. Since the only international airport and the popular Tiger’s Nest is here, Paro is a hub for tourists activities, small boutique cafes and luxury hotels are spread across the valley.Sightseeing around Paro in the afternoon like the National Museum and Kichu Temple (one of the oldest temples in the country.Dinner,Overnight at The Village Lodge OR Similar

Paro - Hike to Paro Taktshang - Paro

After an early breakfast, we drive north of the valley and start the hike to the most popular travel attraction, ‘Paro Taktshang’, popularly known as the Tiger’s Nest. The hike will take up majority of the day. The duration of the hike really depends on ones ability to hike uphill. On an average it takes about 5-6 hours to go up, visit the temple and return.
